How I can help

Services

People often come to me with worries about reading, writing or maths; attention and concentration; academic performance; emotional wellbeing; school readiness; or choosing the right subjects. Whatever brings you here, we'll find a clear, supportive way forward.

Assessments

A careful, in-depth look

Understanding how someone learns, thinks and feels, so support can be targeted where it's genuinely needed.

Psycho-Educational Assessments

A psycho-educational assessment gives a comprehensive picture of a child's cognitive, academic, emotional and behavioural functioning. It can help identify learning difficulties, attention difficulties, giftedness and school-readiness concerns, and point clearly to the educational support that will help most.

Diagnostic Assessments

Some difficulties call for a clear diagnostic answer: attention and ADHD, learning barriers, and other developmental, emotional or behavioural concerns. A diagnostic assessment establishes what is really going on, and guides the right intervention and support from there.

Career Guidance Assessments

For learners and young adults facing big decisions, career guidance brings clarity by identifying interests, strengths, abilities and the pathways that fit them best.

Therapy

A steady, confidential space

A place to feel heard, understand what's happening, and build healthier ways of coping.

Therapy for Children

Gentle support for anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioural difficulties, self-esteem, school-related stress, grief, adjustment and family change, often through play, at a pace that feels safe for your child.

Therapy for Adolescents

A space of their own for anxiety, low mood, identity, friendships, school stress and the many transitions of the teenage years, where a young person can feel genuinely understood.

Adult Therapy

A reflective space to work through emotional overwhelm, anxiety, relationship difficulties, burnout, major life transitions, and the patterns that may be holding you back, supporting insight, healthier coping and more intentional ways of responding to life's demands.

Parental guidance

You don't have to figure it out alone

Parenting is hard. Parent consultations give you practical, do-able strategies to support your child's emotional, behavioural and academic development, and a calmer, more confident home.

You don't need a diagnosis or a referral to reach out. Just a sense that something could be better.

Questions about assessments

What an assessment involves, how long it takes, and what it can tell you.

How do I know if my child needs a psycho-educational assessment?

An assessment may be helpful if your child is finding learning, attention, concentration, reading, writing, mathematics, academic performance, emotional wellbeing, behaviour or school adjustment difficult. It can also be valuable where there are questions about giftedness, school readiness, subject choices or examination accommodations.

What is a psycho-educational assessment?

It is a thorough evaluation of a learner's cognitive, academic, emotional and behavioural functioning. The aim is to identify strengths, areas of difficulty and the factors affecting learning, and then to provide clear recommendations to support your child both at home and at school.

How long does an assessment take?

It depends on the reason for referral and the individual's age and needs. Most psycho-educational assessments take place over one or two sessions, followed by a detailed written report and a feedback session to talk through the findings together.

Can you diagnose ADHD?

Educational Psychologists are trained to assess attention, executive functioning and behavioural difficulties. Where there is sufficient evidence, ADHD may be identified during the assessment, and I'll recommend further medical consultation or treatment options where appropriate.

What is the difference between therapy and assessment?

An assessment is about understanding: gaining a deeper picture of someone's strengths, challenges and functioning. Therapy is about ongoing support: the intervention and strategies that help address emotional, behavioural, social or psychological concerns.

Do I need a referral?

No. Parents, caregivers, schools, medical professionals and individuals are all welcome to contact the practice directly to enquire about services.

What are examination accommodations?

These are support measures for learners who face barriers during formal assessments and examinations. Depending on the learner's needs and supporting evidence, they may include extra time, a reader, a scribe, spelling accommodations, a separate venue, rest breaks or the use of a computer. Final approval rests with the relevant examination authority.

Not sure which of these you need?

That's one of the most common questions I'm asked. Send me a short WhatsApp message describing your concerns, and I'll advise on the most appropriate next step.

I'll help you find the most helpful starting point.
